Of course people from Spain are white. Well most of them anyway; they have immigrants, don't they?

Most Europeans are Caucasian and all races have sub-races. Two widely accepted Caucasian sub-races are Nordic and Mediterranean. Nordic peoples are considered to be taller and fairer than Mediterraneans. Even though there are differences between Nordics and Mediterraneans, they are still both "white". The differences between different European cultures are less true today due to immigration and the many wars in Europe. Plutarch of the Roman Empire described northern barbarians as being tall, blue eyed, red haired, and wild. Aristotle of Ancient Greece described Greeks as being superior to other European cultures due to their darker skin tone. As you might have noticed, Antonio Banderas and Penelope Cruz both have dark hair, eyes, and darker skin compared to Prince William of England. This is not to say that all Spaniards look like Antonio Banderas or Penelope Cruz, but a lot do. My family is from Spain and they have jet black hair, brown eyes, and an olive complexion. I have an Italian friend who is the same and is extremely short as well. Most Italians that resemble these traits reside in Sicily, because it is an island that has not been accessed by the rest of Europe as easily as the mainland. I will say again, not all of the people in countries such as Spain are of Mediterranean origin. There are white Mexicans just as there are black Spaniards, because of immigration and conquerors.

i think its time we stop calling attention to color. When i became a parent, i taught my child that we are all different, no one is a specific color. White, is the color of cotton or a car, I would have to say I haven't seen anyone that shade ever!

I don't know a single person who would consider them anything other than white in general but certainly there are black Spaniards and all shades in between.
