that is what it is all about, helping each other through this journey called life.

I would not entertain the vulgarity of this question even if I had all the time in the world--which I do not. The answer is that the only thing any of us really knows for certain is that we don't know anything. And the realization of this concept is only the beginning of wisdom. "Knowledge" is something, which can be taught. However, it is not the same as "wisdom". Wisdom is something, which must be learned by and large from experience and the revelation of practical application of the teaching it taught us. Wisdom is the gist of the feeling we get when we learn something for the first time and we also realize that what we have learned has a universal effect on not just our lives--but the lives of others. And this "wisdom" will be with us the rest of our lives and that it will never--ever stop to influence change on our lives as we have, do and will ultimately know life and our perspective of it. This brings us to the realization that the concept of "over" is also something that is uncertain even unto death. For when somebody says, "We only go around once." Begs the question: how do we know that? Hence, since we have not died yet, there is no way of knowing if reincarnation or other stages and plateaus of existence within what we know as existence in this frame of reference existence. Hence, there is no such thing as "nothing". This given, most assuredly: "something is". Hence our lives are altered forever. Since the most consistent thing in the entire universe is change. But even that is not certain beyond the end of existence as we know it.

no, I worked too hard to give someone my money. Anyway the cashier is getting paid to hand out change. It's not that hard to count out 3 quarters and two times. The problem with people is that they are in to big of a hurry.

I have and I would again. For me, it's about helping others, paying it forward. Yeah, it's just change, but maybe in doing that I made someone's day start off better....or just gave them a reason to smile. It's nice when someone helps make things easier once in a while.

I have offered the change and gotten a negative reaction over it so i have stopped doing it. The person whom i offered the change to felt offended because they assumed that i thought that they didnt have enough money, i was just trying to be nice.

Sure I would. It's the nice thing to do. One time I paid for someone at the emergency vet because they couldn't afford a life-saving procedure for their dog. If I can afford to help someone, I do.

Sure - I even did $5 once - it was a little boy with groceries. Made me sad to see him trying to figure out what to put back and no, no parent in sight.

I've done that when I 'm in a hurry. It's dangerous though. The person might think that you are being 'forward' and file a harassment suit.

yeah i do it all the time. one time the lady standing in front of my dad didn't have enough money to pay for her food, so my dad paid. My dad said he felt sorry for her becuase she had two small children, and she looked really worried when the clerk told her the total. So my dad said I got it.
