Is it just me or do you miss shows from the 80's like Sonic the hedgehog, duck tales, tale spin, darkwing duck, chp n dale rescue rangers, animaniacs, pinky and the brain, full house, fresh prince, family matters, the wonder years, night court, who's the boss, punky brewster, life goes on, doogie houser, step by step, garfield and friends, smurfs (why was there only one girl smurf?), blossom, etc... name a few more 80's shows and I just may give you ten points. What other shows am I missing? I don't know why but I have been feeling really nostalgic lately. Oh, and don't forget 80's fahion as well, who misses that? I just cannot get into these new shows. They're not the same.

Man....this is a great walk down memory lane!
The shows I really miss are: Punky Brewster, She Ra, The Gummi Bears, Thunder Cats, Moonlighting, Knotts Landing, Growing Pains, ALF. There are so many more that I miss as well. Smurfette was made by Gargomell and was sent to spy on the other smurfs. She had black hair and looked scragily. Then Smurfette was overcome by their kindness and Papa smurf turned her into a blonde and all the others fell in love with Smurfette! FIGURES!!!!!
What ever happened to great wholesome shows like this?

No they are not the same. Night Court and Smurfs were my fave. MTV does not play videos and I don't even think they MAKE cartoons anymore. I actually got out of bed early to watch Scooby Doo before school. Don't forget the Snorks the Jetson's. HE MAN and You Can't do that on TV!
And weekend TV, BOO! Saturday mornings will never be like they used to....

Yeah Sat. morning cartoons just aren't what they used to be...

It just seems that that generation was the last of its kind. I am starting to refer it to the "fresh air" generation, cause it seems it is the last of the generations where kids got out and played, and they didn't grow up too fast. Kids today are growing up entirely too fast and many kids have to be bribed to leave the house. Its ridiculous to see commercials aimed at kids telling them to get off their duff and get outside and play "an hour a day". When I was a kid my parents had to drag me back inside, but of course I didn't have the Internet, I didn't have video games, and I didn't have 1,000 channels of mind numbing TV to watch either. The good old days when kids where kids. Riding your bike was one of your favorite things to do... now it is texting your best friend. So yeah the 80s TV is not the only thing I miss.

i sure do. back when television was entertaining.

by the way,
the reason there is only 1 girl smurf:

technical, there are no girl smurfs. as smurfs are asexual.
smurfette was sent by gargamel to the smurfs to spy on them, but their overwhelming goodness turned her into who she is today. (or, who she was in the 80's, anyway)

i do use "she" in the loosest possible way, since smurfette is also asexual.
