Rose Bush??

Question

i was recently given a tiny rose bush as a gift from a family member. and i have no idea how to keep it alive. can u give me some information on caring for roses. its not a huge giant bush but its just a little tiny one in a pot about 3 inches tall. and 3 inches in diameter. so it is a very small. how can i keep it alive through the winter. it is inside right now and i want to replant it outside in the spring. so how do i keep my little plant alive

i just need tips to keep them alive right now. right now they look dead i have been watering them and giving them sun but nothing is working
