Ever since I moved into these apartments I've had numerous problems with the office. From keys not working to stickers on my work truck. I told them of a rust spot by the bathtub where the paint has come off the wall and exposed rusted metal. They did anything about it. It's gotten worse! They've still done nothing. Months ago my sink sprayer cracked. It sprays wildly when the water is turned on. I taped it as best as I could and called the office. They were going to put in a 'work order'. Nothing. Now the past couple weeks I've had at least 20 WASPS come in my apt!! I've called them several times asking them to do something. Nothing. Yesterday my dog was stung!! My boyfriend called them very aggrivated that they still haven't done anything. Still nothing done as of right now. What can I do?! I'm scared of my dog getting stung again or even one stinging me!!!

Wow.. SOME of you people are DUMB! I didn't say I was DYING.. jeez.. it was a question! I DIDN'T break the sprayer, I DIDN'T say any of this was a big deal. I just wanted to know how to get it fixed. Retards.

To the rest of you ACTUALLY trying to help. Thanks!

Geesh are you totally helpless? Buy yourself some wasp spray, it costs about $3 at Home Depot.

The landlord does not have to paint just because you want him too.

Since you broke your sink sprayer it would behoove you to just fix it yourself . They only cost a couple of bucks, but your landlord will deduct more from your deposit then the actual cost. They are super easy to install.

Stickers on your work truck, why? Are commercial vehicles not allowed to park on the premises? Was it not registered with the office?

Rusted metal is not a habitability issue.

Buy wasp spray until the management checks the situation out. It may be a fluke or there may be a wasp nest, but you can kill any that you see instantly with the spray.

Sink sprayers do not crack with normal wear and tear, so that repair may be on your dollar.

Follow your state's laws regarding repairs.

All repair requests should be put in writing and mailed certified return receipt requested, so that you have proof that the landlord/management was made aware of the need for repairs.

Check if your state's landlord tenant laws allow for repair and deduct, under what situations they would apply and how to follow through properly.

Frankly, nearly all of your complaints are minor. The only sizeable issue is the non-working sink sprayer. Keys do not work, on occasion, if they are newly cut. Is the landlord supposed to have a 24 hour surveillance crew to insure that no one puts a sticker on your work truck ? Is the rusted metal around the bathtub some sort of emergency ? What do you expect management to do about wasps ? You DO realize that they fly around during the course of their lives, and land where they please?

If I had a tenant like you seem to be, I can guarantee there would be no lease renewal at expiry.

I lived in an apartment once where I was getting a ton of bees. Like I am talking 300 bees in a month. It turned out that the bees were nesting in the wall and there was a hole in the wall behind the light fixture in my bathroom over the sink, so that is how they were getting in. Management had not been listening to my complaints either about them. One day I noticed that there were a bunch of dead bees in the light fixture globe out in the hallway, which shared a wall with my bathroom, and that is how I figured out where they were coming from. I complained enough that they did let me out of my lease early.

Threaten to Sue and they'll most likely let you out of your lease. State the reasons why you'll sue them and let them know they are breaking numerous regulations. Inform them you're allergic to the WASPS and it'll be negligence on their part for not taking care of this knowing this information. I've gotten out of two of my leases bc i am allergic and they neglected to take care of it prompt. Good luck and I hope you don't live in Archstone bc they suck. And they're getting sued like mad from water bills to negligence.
