GWB has stated that this was a bad ploy / statement, especially for a President of the USA.
Now, with all of the responders above me, who are so quick to 'bash bush', which ones of you have never made a bad statement, or 'screwed up' ???
BTW, the liberals / lefty's, bent wristers NEVER want to confront someone who can defend themselves !!!! That is why these types hide behind the protection of y/a and "REPORT" ANYONE WHO THEY DISAGREE WITH !!!!
And, IF And WHEN ( GOD FORBID) we have to stand on our own ground and fight off an aggressor, we "PATRIOTS" who do the defending \, will have to watch our backs, not for a foreign aggressor, but watch our for the bent wristers, liberals, lefty's !!! Gutless bunch of shiz eating maggots !!
'Nuff for now!

That was pretty out of line for him. He's basically goading the terrorists / insurgents into killing our men and women. It was unprofessional and unbecoming of a president. I even saw him apologize for it once, called it one of his mistakes in his first term.

Statements like that are not necessary and do nothing besides make tensions rise, if we want to do something about the terrorists then we can but such immature statements that make it seem as if we are going to have an arm wrestling match are better unsaid. This isn't a game.

WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH ALL OF YOU?
What else would you do with enemy who will not fight in the open; who kills and maims its own; who kidnaps and beheads innocents, but call them out. You will notice that nothing has changed in the way the cowardly dogs fight.
War is never 'nice'. Its not supposed to be.
But if you remember, the people in the 2 towers were not given the opportunity to leave, or fight on a level field.

An empty gesture from a coward. He was never going to put himself in danger.
When he visits Iraq it is never announced in advance so the grateful population can cheer him throurgh the streets. He makes sure it is arranged in secret

Actually, I'd rather not have the terrorists bring it on. I'd be quite content if they never brought it on again. And I'd prefer to think the president would like that too, though some days I have my doubts.

Because he "emboldened the terrorists" to attack our troops.

Because he's not there day in day out with the troops. Because all he's interested in as far as the military goes is proving his machismo.

If he really had guts, he would have told the terrorists to try to take him on personally. As it was, he was just inviting attacks on our troops.

Because nobody likes it when a leader of a country
resorts to quoting movie titles to make a point! ;)

Besides, "bring it on" translates, roughly, to,
"Your mama wears sexy clothes under her burka",
which is considered a grave insult
within the Arabic community! ;)
