I think its bad, and it's going to up even more, we'll be close to $4.00 a gallon by the end of the year

They're still too low. Europeans have been paying much higher gas prices for a while now and many of them have higher costs of living than Americans. As a people, we Americans are the world's most glutonous and wasteful consumerists around. Higher prices will teach Americans the virtue of moderation. I don't see a change in the way people live or spend there money until gas comes at $8 a gallon.

It's just another example of the rich stealing from everyone else. Like the housing market, health care, gas and electric. If it's a basic need, you can be sure that the rich own it and will charge completely outrageous rates because no one can do anything about it. People can't do without basic needs and capitalism is heavily protected - even at the expense of the wellbeing of taxpaying citizens. Sick country, sick system.

Well, they told us that prices would be going up and they did.

Thing is, we bop along and do our thing, and we kind of get anesthesized with the price of fuel and when it goes up a few cents, we shift, adjust, reposition our lives, and continue on.

I don't know if it is by design that they do things the way they do, but if you notice, with each increase, you have to do something just a little differently than you used to.

Oh it is kind of subtle, but aren't there times now when you hedge on going somewhere you used to go, but now, well, you know it is going to cost you more to do it.

I know I won't go to town unless there is a bonafide necessity to do so. (we live about 9 miles from shopping). With every trip that is made to town and back, it costs $3.00 + depending on what the going price is for fuel.

So, what do I think about the prices? They really suck. But it is what it is and I don't know how to get around it..

Wish I could afford to buy a new car, but I've been stuck with the same truck that gets 15 mpg for the last 2 years.

I think if people intend to continue driving behemoths, they better dig deeper into their wallets. We've know for quite some time that prices are only going to rise yet truck and SUV sales are up more than hybrids.

I think that it's still the beginning and that they will only continue to rise...It's the refineries who can't meet demand of gas consumers and the rising price of oil we import from other countries.

What do I think? I think is was pretty damn predictable!!

I mean, every holiday the prices sky-rocket, and then when they go down they stay on a record high.......... where are those water powered cars the government has been promising!?!

I think it sucks because I drive a Navigator and it's costing me a lot in gas money.

It really sucks.I think we could lower them down if we got rid of those tree huggers and started punching holes in the ground and pumping our own oil out of the ground and then made more oil refineries.
