Yeah, the best way to do this though is to not let anyone else know.
When someone's fly is down,
they have something in their teeth,
they have something on their face,
or something in their nose,
I walk past them and say it without stopping, I say it only loud enough so that only they can hear.
I hate it when people are "kind enough" to tell me, but tell everyone around me too. Kind of defeats the purpose don't you think? Have a great day!-James

Depending on the situation, I would go about it different...at a dinner meeting, I would see if I could get their attention subtly, by pointing to my teeth. If it was just the 2 of us, I would ask if they needed a toothpick and offer one.

I would stick something in my teeth on purpose and ask them "is anything stuck in my teeth?" maybe they will get the hint

Yes, because I would want to know! I try to say it in a lighthearted kind of way to minimize them feeling embarrassed.
