To be honest I think it is. I mean maybe McNair could stay as second string, but not sure how good of a Mentor he is. If he can't be a mentor then he needs to go.

I Think you are right about McNair for sure but not McNabb he still has some left in the tank we saw it when they scored 56 against the Lions and He picked apart the Vikings a few weeks ago so he should play another 2 or 3 years but McNair should retire now in the middle of the season NOW

I always liked Steve McNair. He is one tough Mississippi boy! Sorry to say it is the end for him. I wouldn't give two cents for McNabb. Get rid of him!

bao187- Only complete football idiots wanted Favre to retire. Real football fans knew he just didn't have a team and had to try to win games all by himself. His receivers were as bad or worse than the Eagles, and he didn't have the Eagles' butt kickin' defense to help him like McNabb.

McNair, yes he needs to take a backseat role now......

But, u Philly fans make me sick! Its ovious to the rest of the football world that the Eagles have no WRs at all, except for Curtis, and he is the 3rd WR. How can McNabb make plays when 7 outta 10 passes are to Westbrook, 2 go to Curtis, and one to L.J. Smith. The Eagles seldom call run plays. There whole gameplan is one deminisional. Don't blame McNabb for not having the weapons to deliver too!

I never liked McWhine but always liked McNair. However I think McWhine still has a little left in the tank but McNair needs to get out before he gets crippled. (Any worse than he already is)

McNair definitely needs to call it quits. He cant do anything to help any team win right now. McNabb, may just need a change of scenery but he is beginning to remind me alot of McNair.

neither of them SUCK they are getting older and losing some talent McNair is still a posable threat to any defense he can lead a team under pressure

McNabb will be on a different team next year and make them a contender just like he did with the eagles

i am not a fan of either but they are still good qbs

hey stonewall its funny that you say anyone that wanted favre to retire is an idiot i believe all three of your major sports program channels were saying the same thing and i don't think they are all idiots, my dad is a huge packers fan so i am not aloud to say bad things about favre and there are none to say, now that favre is lighting it up this year everyone is drinking #4 kool-aid again sounds like a bunch of bandwagoneers to me

McNair should be relegated to a back-up role. As far as McNabb goes... he just needs a change of scenery. Time for him to get out of Philly

McNair yes. As for McNabb, if he's giving a WR (Owens was good for him), he could stick it out for another year or two. Everyone thought Favre was done and look at what he's done this year.

i think in about 2-3 years. mcnabb can obviously make plays still, but his injury slowed him down. mcnair, well, i never thought he was a great Qb in the first place. he is the victim of a poor offense unfortunately.
