personally i know a lot of people from there who have given me a really good impression...but why many europeans and not only call the US people stupid?

Because most of the American population here on Y!A thinks that they are above the rest of us. And by that I mean that they think that we are stupid and ignorant, and just because they are from America doesn't give them the right to say that some questions are stupid and some r not.
p.s. Not all Americans here are like that, I met few of them, and they seem really nice.

Yea there are stupid Americans and there are stupid people all around the world...you can't judge a whole country by it's worst specimens. There are many intelligent Americans as well as stupid ones.

Naive might be a better word although our educational system has not kept up with the times and we are lacking in knowledge when it comes to other countries history, culture, and current ideologies. Generally though, people in America are loving, kindhearted, charitable people who only wish to see good for all others.

We Americans want a fast food education
Want it all fast and tight
Don't want to read, want our books on tape
I am educated
2 college degrees and I talk to people at work who are under 25 and they are dimwits
You can't learn if you are busy smoking weed all the time
Can't spend life at Drunken State University
Most Americans have POOR math skills and look at the way they spell or speak

There are stupid people and intelligent people and lots of in-between all over the world. People are people no matter where you go in the states, in Europe or anywhere for that matter. Only stupid people would believe otherwise. ; -)

aatura: i am sorry but i don't agree with you. belive me i live in France now and there are people who can not even write their own language or don't know where Holland is. This is just an image that they are trying to give but stupid people exist everywhere.
