When I turn my comp on, it jumps straight to the black screen then indicates "Strike F1 to restart boot or F2 for set up utility". F1 takes me in circles and F2 takes me to the set up screen. The last thing I remember doing was downloading a system cleaner to remove all unneeded stuff on the PC since I bought the pc from a friend 2 mos prior. Im running XP and have removed the battary and re-booted. Nothing is working. How do I get this one cleared before I take it to a tech? I do not have the CD restore so I cant do that. Any help would be appriciated.

F8 Does not work. Should I just buy XP and install it?

Try going into the Setup Utility and setting all of the options to the defaults (there should be an option to set everything that way).
