Why are toys being recalled after all these years?

Did the toy industry forget to pay there annual bribes to politicians?

I honestly would not mind losing christmas, I'm sick of wasting money each year on that damn holiday, plus everyone is angry and driving like Indians for the first 3 weeks before Christmas

The toy industry must have paid their bribes, because the government sure doesn't want to put more money into testing toys for safety, that's why there's only one tester. With so many toys being recalled these days, I started googling and searching to see if there are actually any options for toys made in the USA. I actually found a pretty long list of sites, and have compiled them on my website, www.toysmadeinamerica.com (over 100 links). I'm hoping people will start avoiding companies who outsource American jobs (and of course not pass the savings on to the American consumer, just increase their profit instead, at the expense of the quality and safety of their products). Maybe if more people start buying American-made products, corporations will see that it's just not worth it to outsource all of our jobs to China. That's my hope anyway! : ) Teresa

Again, we used commerce to teach somebody a lesson on fair trade. China is selling a lot to us and doesn't want to buy from us in return. This is the reason for the big trade deficit with them. Toy industry is just one of those affected. However, food products are hardest hit.

I think they received what they deserved.
