why do white people say if you dont like this country go back where you came from?

It is because those people are idiots!! They tell you to "go back where you came from" but you see them filling their bellies with mexican food restaurants!! How stupid is that!!! I work with a white woman who alot of negative things to say about every race you think of. I have my come backs that shut her up!!

I just let it roll off my back!!

That's simple: it's because they can't think of anything better to say. This is usually the response to someone pointing out the problems that our country has (and boy does our country have some BIG ones!). They get offended that "My goodness, how dare you point out the BAD things about our wonderful country! You are only supposed to express the GOOD damn you!" so then they get off on how grateful you should be to live here and how horrible it is in other places.

All the while ignoring the initial statement about America's own problems.

I would like to point out that not only white people do this but I will say that they're the only ones in MY experience that I've heard say things like this.

It's hilarious that they would say that because they are not native to this country.

It is not just white people that say that. I am Irish but was born in Texas so where would I go???? My Bio family was from Ireland but the family that raised me was from Louisiana. Being born in the US makes me an American. So I am in the country that I came from.

If you are on someone Else's territory and they don't like you - then it's a natural reaction to say get out of here.
You only have to glance at nature and you will see all lifeforms practice this most basic behaviour.

I don't understand what this has to do with "white people". I think no matter what country you're from. ANY country. If you're in a country where you don't belong and then start complaining about it. As I don't think foreign people in this country have a right to complain. (We are looking after them after all) Then yes, I think they should go back to their country, otherwise don't complain. I think it's kinda weird that you disagree!!!

Hell if i know. I heard that all through my school days. Doesn't bother me though. It clearly means they were raised that way. Which means their parents are prob racist. But i used to tell them how the hell am i going to jump back in my moms stomach cause thats where i came from.LOL.

I honestly do not think this saying is limited to "white" people. I have said it, and so have other's I know who are not "white." People in this country forget how fortunate we are compared to people in 3rd world countries.

1st white people can't really say this as we all know from history this country didn't belong to the white man it belong to the red man so if anybody should leave it should be the white man after all they brought half of us here(against our wishes might I add) So people should think about history before they say that because this land used to belong to the red man

I think people just get sick of others complaining and complaining and then not doing anything positive to change it.
