Most psychologists regard wisdom as distinct from the cognitive abilities measured by standardized intelligence tests. Wisdom is often considered to be a trait that can be developed by experience, but not taught. When applied to practical matters, the term wisdom is synonymous with prudence. Some see wisdom as a quality that even a child, otherwise immature, may possess independent of experience or complete knowledge.Stupidity, is the lack of intelligence,,or dumb. Albert Einstein's many contributions to physics include his special theory of relativity, which reconciled mechanics with electromagnetism, and his general theory of relativity, which extended the principle of relativity to non-uniform motion, creating a new theory of gravitation. He was very "smart" ,,,,,,but he was unable to keep a job he once had working as a cashier at a bank ,,,because he could not count money like a "normal" person. Based of the above comments I must say that a person CAN be SMART and still also be DUMB!!!

Knowledge is selective. It's not possible for a person to know "everything" about "every" subject. I may tell you to take an aspirin if you have a headache, but I do that without the medical knowledge that a Physician might have, and not know that aspirin can make your stomach bleed,So I know that aspirin may help with the headache, but appear dumb for not knowing the side effects .

Sure can. Bill Gates, for example .. he's smart, when it comes to computers .. but, if you put him on the streets of Harlem, well, he would never survive ... he has no street smarts. :)
