I'm sorry but I don't like it, but really if you like it then that's all that matters right?

To be honest, I'm not crazy about it for two reasons-
1. Kids tend to shorten their friend's names in school and she may end up being called "Bray", which is the sound a donkey makes. Not attractive.
2. You have to think of your child before yourself and sometimes trying to be TOO unique may not be in their best interest.
I'm not going to give you a bunch of other substitute names- I'm sure you will come up with the right name in time...and if Braylee is the one you choose- that's ok too!

What about Brynlee? Braylee is nice but as a nickname Bryn works better than Bray :)

I'm not a big fan of Braylee either. Something similar that doesn't remind all of us of a donkey would be Brinley. Just a suggestion.Good luck!

What is a "Braylee"? Any language? History? Culture? Derivation? Or is it jsut some meaningless sound?
If you want something unique, name your baby Gertrude. That's a REAL name that no one is getting anymore.

maybe find out the origins of your name and your S.O.'s name and pick one that way?
my husband and i go round and round about names sometimes but we know that our son's name will be irish/celtic because my husband's name is, and our daughter's will be scandinavian like mine.
and for the record i think gertrude is a cute name!! =P
