I think in the case of the Global Warming religion...it's clear that insanity has led to this religion.

Religion is based on faith and has nothing to do with sanity. If you wish to paint all who believe in something bigger than themselves insane then by all means go ahead............

I'll go with the latter since it requires you to talk to invisible beings to begin with. It also seems to lead to an inflated sense of self-entitlement and violence.
