Oh yes, it's nice and easy to walk around there at night. Go to the Altstadt (old town) between Konigsallee and the river. It's a small, attractive, and lively area. Don't hesitate! Lots of pubs, shops, coffee shops, restaurants, etc. Safe and clean, too.
