How many expansion packs / Stuff packs can you add to your Sims2 collection?

I would like to add University and Pets along with my H&M and Season.

I want to thank both of you for answering quickly. I can't pick a best answer, cuz that is always the hard part.

I have all the expansion packs, all the stuff packs, and a ton of custom content - however, this will make the game run slower, and if you don't have above the required specs on your computer, it may make it unplayable. Check the specs that are required, compare those to what you have, and see if it's above and beyond. If it is, you should be fine. If you're borderline on some of them, it's probably not a good idea to add much.

You can add as many as you like, but you always need to install a later one after adding old exps., otherwise it'll mess it up. If you have the later installed, yuo can always try to install the olders but you could end up having to uninstall everything and doing it again in the right order.
Oh, remember to make a copy of your saved files.
