Why did Dan Patrick leave the Sports Broadcasting buisness?

No one ever gave an explanation. I thought he was ok.

He wasn't doing much on ESPN television, sticking mostly to the radio side and writing a Q&A column for ESPN the Magazine. I'm not sure if he got bored with that. I know he'll be writing a column for Sports Illustrated and doing some video/print work with SI.com, so maybe this is a chance to try some new things.

He and Keith Olbermann might have been the best ever at TV sports. The guys in that role now are mere wanna-be's.
