I'm planning to put a sign on my window this Christmas season. Along with Christmas lights on my window i will be putting a sign saying Merry Christmas & in parenthesis it will say not that P.C Happy Holidays stuff. Some have liked the idea while others say I'm looking for trouble even though that's not what I'm trying to do. What do you think?

If you really want to make an impact, spell out "Jesus is the Reason for the Season" in lights on your roof.

Scooter, there's nothing unusual about that........I certainly don't think you're looking for trouble and anyone that gives it to you is a Yutz!!!!........Signs are made that say Merry Christmas and others say Happy Holidays.......They're Christmas decorations and both are sold in all the stores.......I've had enough of P.C. nonsense and I'm far removed from P.C.........As I said before as a verbal greeting for me it's Happy Holidays (during the Holiday season) for every day except for Dec. 24 & 25 as that's really Christmas Eve and Christmas........I've always been that way long before P.C. was "invented"...........So right now let me be the first to wish you Happy Holidays and on 12/24 and 12/25 I'll wish you the Merriest of Christmas'..........CAT

If that's how you feel, then it's perfectly fine to express that sentiment. But! Be prepared to answer questions and inquiries about the sign, why it's there, why you decided to do it, why you think it's necessary, etc. It's always acceptable to politely display your opinions of things. Much like a sign supporting a political candidate, you need to be ready to defend your decision. Good luck!

I do not believe that you are looking for trouble....I would do it if that's what you believe....most people would agree with your choice....Merry Christmas has been the phrase most of us grew up with...you are not the only one who is sick of all this PC crap...If they are offended, so be it....they offend us with all the changes they are trying to cram down our throats...does that make it a double standard?? I believe in keeping Christ in Christmas...my choice...your right to express your freedom of voice...before they try to change those rights too....MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL!! Go for it if you like.
However, is not Christmas the season of good cheer to all? Wont the PC people be unhappy that you are making light of their choice? Just something to think about buddy.
Remember, the true spirit of Christmas is the celebration of Jesus Christ. How would you allow that to guide your choice?
