It's Schumacher not Shumacker, but anyways, he is going to test the 2008 Ferrari F1 car without the traction control because he has a lot of expertize with the car without this computer aid. The traction control was introduced officially in 2001 in the Spanish GP, so Schumacher has driven without and with TC and he is doing a beautiful job in either cases.
Next year we'll see the better drivers, because with the use of computers they were able to minimize driver error, now, it's open season.
I think the forthcoming season should be very exciting.
The TC reduces wheel spin so you can accelerate to the maximum all the time without the fear that you will spin out of the corner and such.

Traction control is when the car senses that the wheels start to spin (ie losing traction with the road) because of too much acceleration, and automatically stops the wheels spinning, usually by a combination of ajusting the throttle and slowing the wheel.

Without traction control, a driver needs to have a much more sensitive degree of control over the throttle.

they have it right tcs retards ignition not allowing the car to apply more power through a corner, but what does that mean ?

i means that you slow down for a corner, turn the steering wheel and plant your foot, the cars computer makes sure you go through the corner with the maximum speed allowed before the car looses traction and slides off into the gravel,

now without tcs some guys will over throttle through a corner and bring the back end around, some guys will go just a tad too slow trying to be safe and some guys will hit it just right

as for the question of what technology has he lost? the Ferrari tcs was nothing more than 4 lines of computer code

It works automatically.

It sense if either one of the wheel is spinning at a different speed, it cuts off enging power to itso the wheel will stays in traction and not spin faster than it should.

What this means is that once went through a corner, you just step on your throttle and let the TC system controls how much throttle your car needs. extra throttle is all cut off automatically.

Michael is a great driver without this traction. He can control his own throttle, and he can constantly throttle through a corner, making sure that he's car doesn't goes any slower that it needs to, and he can do that without over throttling and spin the car off...

No, he DROVE a car with no traction. Not he's gonna drive one without traction control.
P.S. The little button activates TCS(Traction Control System)

Michael Schumacher drove plenty without traction control back in the day. (Some McLarenites would have you believe that even back then, ole' Michael was using traction control, the cheating b*&^%$# lol.)

it boils down to the age of computers .in a nutshell pushing the button ingages the computer to give maximum drive , without letting the wheels overspin which would tend to meke you loose control on bends. Personaly shitsu should have lost the car as well

Just the part where you get your wheels locked. I know one man who'd have to adjust his driving style with the loss of TC, Robert Kubica. Everytime he's in a tussle with another driver over positions, he tends to get his wheels locked, a lot, then there's TC kicking in. Without it, he might have overshoot and land himself out wide. But I wouldn't worry about that affecting Schumi when he goes testing. He came into F1 before TC right?

without Traction administration, the drivers the slam their ft down the floor after a corner yet without TC, they intently and slowly improve up till their foot has reached the floor otherwise the ending effect would be a one hundred eighty degree spin
