The last time I've ever wore a bow tie, was on my sister's wedding back in June 1998. I don't usually wear them however I do wear those traditional neck ties, while going to church or going out on special occasions. I normally dress casual on the job.

If I want to look like a geek, I wear a bowtie. Apart from that, the traditional neck tie.

I never "have to wear a tie" anymore than you have to wear a whalebone corset or bloomers.

Ties are an utterly stupid fashion that stuck around FAR too long, mostly because men were to lazy to care about changing it. Fortunately, that tide is finally turning.
