I play for an hour and my eyes kill me. Are there special glasses that reduce this strain?

I have the same problem. My eyes get strained from the glare off of the TV/Monitor. I've noticed that if I play in a dark room my eyes don't get strained as quickly.

Erm, i have one idea you can do, Play at least for about... 1 hour, or best is 30 minutes. 20 minutes is good too. After that, pause the game. Don't look at the screen of whatever you are playing and look at something that is really far away and is green too. But the best is you look at mountains, if u can spot them. Or Trees that are far away but you can see them. Keep looking at them until you're eye dosen't hurt anymore and you can go back to playing.

This occurs when you are reading and looking at something too close sometimes. So the best idea is to get your eyes check month/weekly and look at far away green stuff. I hope i helped. Because this method helped for me when i am playing Computer Games.

Either get special glasses made for computer use or stop playing video games.

Don't know about glasses but there are anti-glare screens you can put over monitors to help. Of course if you're playing console games then that won't apply but you didn't specify.

Stop sitting around playing video games. Go outside and do something.

I don't use glasses. I sit a little farther away because I have learned that sitting too close makes your eyes hurt.

I was just about to say the opposite to zerotime, and tell you to make sure you're in a well-lit room (natural light if possible.)
I guess, try a few different things and see if any work, and get your eyes checked just in case there is some underlying problem.

Don't spend so much time playing videos - they are meant for entertainment purposes, not a life style
