I lost my plug at about 7 months... but it regenerates itself ( I don't know if that is the right terminology, but you get what I'm saying). I also lost it about 3-4 days before I had my baby. The nurse at one of my visits after I lost it told me it doesn't mean anything because it does replace itself, but I think in general labor comes soon after. Good luck!!

This all depends on your body. I was dilaited three centimeters for two weeks after loosing mine with my third baby. I had false labor for the whole time, and when I finally relaxed, orderede some food and tried to watch some movies I went into real labor on fathers day and, I didn't leave my house until i had my meal and watched my movies...then I went staight to the hospital and had a baby 9 hrs later... Be patient everything will be beautiful in the end. Good luck and congrats!

I lost mine 2 weeks before going into labor. It could be hours, days or weeks.

You can lose your mucus plug weeks or hours before delivery, and it can actually regenerate itself. You may not even notice it's loss, depending on how gradually it discharges. Instead you may notice some heavier discharge in the last days/weeks of pregnancy.

Could be one day, one week or one month - it is rarely a predictor of labor!
