I'm having a birthday party soon, and I was just wondering how you put together a playlist. I've done it before, but I'm wondering if there are any easy or help tips, as to how you put your playlist in order.

Thanks. I mean I know it's not too difficult, I'm just wondering if anyone had any "magical" way of doing this. It always takes me about 3-4 days up to a week to perfect my playlist for a party.

For seamless mixing between songs, match up the bpm between 2 like songs. If you plan on mc'ing between songs, then the bpm won't matter as much. Every song has at least one break (remixes have several) and it's during this break you would begin mixing another song (with same bpm) into the current song for a smooth flowing switchover. But it's not just any song with matching bpm you should play. You should consider the hot songs your particular patrions are listening to. It's best to play 2 or 3 dancefloor packers in a row then maybe toss in something new. Save all the slow songs for the end of the night though. Nothing can bring a party mood down like a slow song. So only go slow when you want to wind your crowd down. Once the slow songs start, the crowd gets smaller. ;P Have fun! And remember, even if you can't yet mix seamlessly from one song to the next, if you're a FUN MC, then that's all you need to be to keep the crowd movin! ;P

Just mix some fast songs with a slow song here and there. Not too difficult.
