I'm sure this baby would be fine, as your other 2 were fine at 34 and 35 weeks weighing 6lbs. each. So don't worry. My oldest daughter was born at 34 weeks and she weighed 4lbs 10 1/2 oz. and she was fine.
Please don't try castor oil, you will be sorry. You already don't feel good. Imagine throwing the trots on top of that. You will be on the toilet all day and it will be coming out of one or both ends. And they say the cramps are horrible.
The doctor told you to go and rest. Well if you want the baby to come (which I'm sure would be fine) my suggestion would be to walk around as much as possible. That will make labor progress nicely. Good luck and congrats.

By this point, your baby is fully developed. The last 10 or so weeks, the baby is just growing, getting stronger, and getting ready to meet the real world. If you go into labor right this minute, you'll have at least a 90% chance of normal delivery, with little to no problems. With technology today, really anyone 31 weeks or later has this same chance. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND trying to induce labor yourself, you could cause an infection of some kind. If any of your contractions get stronger, unbearable, or start getting closer, your water breaks, etc., I'd just go to the hospital. If you've already had 2 perfectly heatly babies at 34 & 35 weeks, I don't think you'll have problems with this one.. Good luck and congrats!!!!!

It sounds like preterm labour to me. It also sounds like your body is fighting it seeing as it's been happening for a couple days now and it isn't progressing. Don't take anything to induce at home - you want that baby to stay inside as long as possible! I would suggest going to see your doctor. Your baby will probably be fine if she comes this early. I had my daughter 7 weeks early (my water broke 9 weeks early and my body fought off the labour for 2 weeks before we couldn't stop it) and she was extremely healthy. She couldn't nurse at first so she needed a tube, but she was breastfeeding completely after 2 1/2 weeks. She had a touch of jaundice and that was all. So your girl has a good chance of being fine, I would say! She's almost full-term.
Try and get lots of rest and keep drinking lots of water. It's weird but being well-hydrated can stop contractions.
Good luck!

With my last pregnancy, I went to the hospital 5 times thinking i was in labor. This was my third child mind you, and I was sent home becasue it was not labor. With each pregnancy a woman has her body adjusts differently. Contractions will be much stronger that with previous pregnancies, which I didn't know until the fourth time I was sent home. You should rest on your left side, and drink pleanty of water. If you become dehydrated this will cause your baody to have contractions. So I would pick a comfy spot in the hose, grab some munchies, bring a gallon of ice water with you, and just wait it out until contractions are 5-7 mins apart, your water breaks, or the pain is soooo unbearable that you can not take it anymore. They will not induce you before 38 weeks unless the baby is having problems. Your contractions will hurt veryyyy badly and be closer together and longer when you are in active labor. My labor times with my three kids in order....29hrs...4hrs....and12 1/2hrs. Good luck and be patient!!

Could be preterm labor, but I would be more inclined to suspect that your babies aren't actually "premature" but more than ready to be born at around the 35 week mark. Do not be alarmed. The danger zone for premature babies ends abruptly at 35 weeks and as you said yourself, your previous two babies where perfectly healthy.
I was told with my last pregnancy that the only real issue (other than mild jaundice) that doctors watch out for with babies born around the 35 week mark is lung development. Even then, very few have to be placed on machines to help them breathe.
It does sound like labor, and with a history of preterm labor the L&D should keep you as soon as you begin to dialate. Then, you just hang out, watch television, get your pain meds, and await the arrival of your baby. Worry is normal for pregnant women, but usually completely unfounded.
And congratulations. :)

I would say for you, in your case, it does sound very much like labor. In anyone else it would be the same. However, with your history I would lay down and be still and see if you can hold off labor for another week.
Your other babies have been fine this early, but its still very early to be having a baby. The full range of preterm issues face you and baby.

With your history and the symptoms you're describing, it sounds like you may be in labor. At 35 weeks gestation, your baby should be ok. She may or may not have to spend time in the NICU, depending on whether or not her lungs are fully developed. What I think you should do is go to Labor and Delivery at the hospital and have them monitor your contractions. If labor has started, your doctor may be able to stop it with medication for another week. Good luck, congrats on your little girl!

I would just try to take it easy. The last 2 pregnancies you where just lucky with the baby's being healthy. Plus if the doctor thinks that you and the baby would be fine then they would probably just induce you.
