-7x2y = -14xy

(Write each term as a number followed by variables)

the numerical coefficient is whatever the number is in the simplified term. In this case, -14.

Numerical coefficient--as its name implies, it is a number.

I guess that's simple enough.

To be able to get the answer, combine the light terms.

I think you're trying to write x cube minus 7x squared y plus 5xy squared minus two, right?
