Billy Crocker (Tenor B♭4 to F4, comic role) - Elisha's kind but inefficient general manager who is in love with Hope, boarded the ship without a ticket in pursuit of Hope, and so must adopt a number of disguises
Hope Harcourt (Soprano B♭3 to F5) - A wealthy and beautiful heiress, debutante determined to marry Sir Evelyn Oakleigh to satisfy Mama Harcourt, even though she is in love with Billy
Reno Sweeney (Alto F3 to B4) - an evangelist turned nightclub singer. Old friend of Billy's. Patti LuPone type.
Sir Evelyn Oakleigh (Baritone D♭3 to F4)- a rich English Gentleman
Moon-Face (Baritone / Tenor A3 to E4) - Public Enemy #13, who wants to be 1st on the list.
Bonnie Latour (Mezzo D♭4 to G♭5) - Moonface Martin's attractive but not-so-bright girlfriend
Elisha Whitney - Wall Street executive and Billy Crocker's boss, an extremely near-sighted business tycoon and drunk
Mrs. Wadsworth T. Harcourt - Hope's haughty, overbearing mother who is mainly concerned with social status and money.
Bishop Henry Dobson - a minister
Ching and Ling - two of Bishop Dobson's Chinese converts and reformed gamblers
Luke and John - Two mischievous Chinese heathens who happen to be exceptional card players
Purser - The Captain's lackey.
Steward -
Reno's "Angels" - They show up and sing with Reno. Probably all sopranos.
Passengers (ensemble)

Tap and jazz dancing skill are required especially for Reno and the Angels. Moonface and Bonnie dance as well I believe, but not as much (been a few years since I've seen it). The ensemble of course will dance. Billy and Hope also dance also.

That's about it. Good luck in your research :-)

The above answer hit it fairly accurately. There are a couple of notable exceptions, though. There are actually two different versions of this show for which the rights are currently available. Marianne lists the roles for the older version of the show (I would call Billy a baritone, but that is a matter of opinion). There is also the Broadway revival version from the late 80's or early 90's. In this later version, Billy is definitely a Tenor (up to G4). In addition, the character of Bonnie is changed to Erma. The range is the same, but she sings a different song. Evelyn becomes a Tenor in the revival (up to at least a G4). Some of Reno Sweeny's music is changed as well (though the range is still basically the same). Elisha Whitney has a song too, as I recall he would be a character bass or baritone (up to d4 or so).

This is a dance heavy show for the ensemble (we actually had a girl who did pointe ballet tap dancing, yes taps on pointe shoes. It was absolutely ridiculous, and stopped the show). Reno and Bonnie/Erma need to be triple threats who can tap well. Billy, Hope and moonface need to move well, but they are really not as dance heavy as the other roles. The rest of the named characters don't really dance much, as I recall. Hope this helps...
