I would probably watch TV with the 2 year old. Although she is watching a Blue's Clues video and I have seen it about 100 times between her and her 2 older sisters.

it depends what you are doing now. but the basic to do is close all the site and save all the document you create. you can try the improper shutdown, to do this press the power on/off for 5 seconds until the pc is off. good luck!
