Ok, so I washed and dried my husbands work shirts w/ ink pen. The shirts are white except where the company logo is. I would like to know how to get the ink spots out of them. I know I should use bleach, but how? Do I need to actually put bleach on all the individual spots or do i need to pour bleach in some water and let it soak....I dont know, please help me. The company charges and outragous amount of $$ for the shirts so I dont want to buy any unless its a last resort. What do I do?

Hairspray, I havent heard of that before...will it matter if the shirts are wet, or do they need to be dry. I have them soaking in water right now! Man, I have probably ruined them, huh?

Spot treat with rubbing alcohol.
Put a clean cloth under the stain and pour rubbing alcohol through it. Blot. Repeat until gone. Then launder again with Tide.
Bleach will NOT help. Bleach is evil.

Before you bleach them, try soaking the spot with hair spray. Make sure you put a paper towel underneath the spot to catch the ink.

Ive always used hair spray, even if the shirt has been washed and dry-ed it will work, get the cheep kind. You will have to scrub alot, my husband didn't take the pen out of his shirt and I didn't find it until a whole load of shirts were washed. If that doesn't work try lighter fluid for cigarette lighters it works good on grease stains. Everything you use you will have to scrub. good luck

Hairspray has worked for me in the past. I spray it on it and then wash it as soon as possible and it comes out. Even toner ink came out by doing this.

One good, cheap can of hair spray should get the majority of that stuff to run. You will have to daub it to keep it from running all over and then hit it with the warm wash. I hope it's not a ton of ink.

I almost ruined my dryer too. Hair spray also applies, though.

im not sure if this will work since you have already washed and dried the shirts and that ususally sets the stain, but it might be worth a try. get some hair spray.........spray liberately the stain and wash as usual.

you can try hydrogen peroxide, the one that is used for wounds. pour it to the stained portions then use cotton to absorb the liquid.Good luck!
