In no paticular order
Lions
Packers (only cause I thought they would be rebuilding)
Browns
Saints (only because they have won 4 in a row)
Bills - they have been in most games, they could easily have a better record

I think you have to put the Lions, Browns and Packers at the top of this list. I don't think anyone realistically expected much out of the Lions or Browns, the Packers aren't as big of a surprise but still a big surprise.

The last two, I'd have to go with Tampa Bay. Considering the QB shuffle that's been a way of life down there, I thought it'd be while before they got back on track. I'll have to put the Giants in the last spot, simply because they had a lot of questions to answer this year and early in the year went through some pretty rough stuff with the media. But they've managed to turn it around. Hopefully they finish strong.

1. Cleveland Browns (5-3)...already with more wins than all of last year

2. Green Bay Packers (7-1)...leading the NFC North and probably the most fun team to watch in the NFL

3. Detriot Lions (6-2)...I'm not the only one that laughed when Kitna said the Lions would win 10 games this year, now they just need to play .500 ball to get there

4. Washington Redskins (5-3)....They just might actually finish with a record above .500 this year

5. Houston Texans (4-5)....I know they are a stretch for "good", but they've won more games already than I thought they would this year, and if Andre Johnson comes back, I think they'll have an outside shot at a wild card spot this year

1. BY A MILE IS THE ----Lions
2. Green Bay
3. Tenn
4. Tampa BAy
5. The Giants. Although I predict they will fade soon.
6- The browns.
Mentions--

The Vikings do look like an exciting young team, but I dont expect any great results by the end of the year. The Saints made a suprising turn around, but I am not ready to get back on the Saints bandwagon yet. If a team can look that horrible for 4 straight games, they could always do it again.

Detroit Lions tops this list for me, I'm not their fan, just surprised me how well they're doing compared to years past.

Then the Cleveland Browns, ANOTHER SHOCKER for me!

The Tennessee Titans.

The Packers having their best season in awhile now.

I don't know 5 "surprise" (GOOD) teams, only 4.

1) Green Bay - I thought they had potential, but I didn't expect to see them at 7-1.
2) Detroit
3) New York Giants - The defense looked like total crap after 2 games. But it's now looking like they're a contender.
4) Tampa Bay - I had them finishing last in the NFC South. 5-4 is not spectacular, but they have the inside track on the division, esp. given the issues on the other teams.
5) Jacksonville

Packers - I don't think anyone saw them being 7-1
Lions - Hey, they're pretty good!
Cowboys - Thought they would be middle of the road
Titans - Thought they were one dimensional
Vikings - not great, but it looks like they 'can' beat most anyone if Peterson runs wild.

#1 Surprise Team = New England, i.e. that Moss would be as 'teamlike' as he has been.....
