God gave us free will and that allows us to make the decisions that we make in our lives(good or bad). In knowing that we have free will, I believe that it is us deciding the when we start trying to concieve part.

If it is not your time though, if God has other plans for you I believe that our 'wants' are delayed to follow Gods timing.

Example....

My husband and I had been married for a few years and we decided we were ready to start trying to have a baby. We tried for eight months with no luck. We made an appointment for the following week to see our obgyn to fin d out if there were any problems.

That Friday night I had gotten sick and gone to he hospital for food poisoning. After being treated at the hospital we were on our way home. On our way home a drunk driver didn't stop at his stop sign and slammed in to our car on my side.

I ended up being in the hospital for 10 days and in a wheelchair for another 6 months. I had three surgeries during that time.

Had I have gotten pregnant in any one of those eight months I would have lost the baby for sure with how injured I was. I have since become an advocate with the Alcohol and Chemical Council and have two beautiful children.

To me all of what happened to me was in God's timing and I am thankful!

Yes I do. Everything happens according to His perfect will and in His timing. I've been TTC for over 1 year and I am married to the love of my life. We both love children and everyone says we'll make great parents. When I pray I thank God for my husband and I ask Him to bless us to be patient and let Him work in our lives. I also ask Him to bless each doctor's appointment I go to and the medication I take (clomid) because He allowed the technology to be created that gives women (and men) the help they need to create life when it's not happening normally. I've learned that I am not entitled to anything in this life and that includes having a baby. Having a child is a blessing and I ask God to allow me that experience that blessing in some way.

I'm a strong believer in God, & I was brought up to beleive that Yes, God is in control of what happens in your life!
But here lately, I'm starting to have m,y doubts! My husband & I have been trying for baby #2, for over a year now.
About a month ago, we get a call form a close relative telling us that she's pregnant..well I mean if your ttc you know how I felt, when you find out someone's pregnant. But this is different...she still drinks, & smokes, & prob. alot of things we dont know about! She has no job, & is expecting her parents to keep her up..& to top it all off..she has no idea who the dad is..I just think that's a horrible situtaion! I dont understand God reason for doing that, but maybe it's not up to us ti understand!

My husband and I have been ttc for 4 years now and just recently been to a fertility specialist. I have had some procedures done to inhance our chances of trying to conceive but we are down to the the bottom line of in vitro. This is when we have decided not to go through with it and let God decide our fate. Everyone has their own opinion. This was our decision. Good luck in all you do.

I am a Christian and believe that God is in control and gives us blessings when it is his will and in his own time. He knows all. He knows the desires of our hearts and will bless us with those things in when it is his will. If you are a follower of God and have given your life to serve him he places those desires in your heart to prepare you for his blessings. He would never taunt or tease you with something he wasn't going to bless you with. So if God has laid it upon your heart that you want to be a mommy he will make it happen. He is a giving and forgiving God. Just leave your troubles and wants and desires at the foot of the Cross. He is there to carry our burdens for us. He loves us and he really loves and favors children.

I believe that sinners yes can have babies but I wouldn't want to have a baby if it wasn't God's will. People make bad choices daily and that is the devil that they are listening too. It seems that good things do happen to bad people but that is just the Devil making it appear that way. That is him instilling jealousy in us and that is his way of getting us to leave our Lord and Savior.

Never put anything or anyone above God and you will prosper. God Bless you and if you are right with God your time will come!!!

It all lays in The Power of the Almight GOD, he who giveth life, he blesses us, and yes we have been ttc for some time and I no he hears our prays, he see our cry and he feels our pain, but we wan things to work on our time but it doesn't works like that, he works on his time for a reason, he's probably preparing for something else don't worry about the people around you concieving, focus on you, they might be pregnant now but what do they have? The Lord might be preparing you for a new home before he bless you with a child.

no, I believe when your body is ready, and if everything is working right, you can have kids.
hm, I agree, if god decided, well, tell me why so many children are born to bad parents? and why good ppl have a hard time ttc? it is an unfair world!
but I will have a small rock of hope when it seems all hope is gone!
happy trails to you!

I believe God said be fruitful and multiply and that he's not going to tell you to do something and not allow you to do it.

I know it says he opens the womb, but unless you're in sin or condemnation that would keep you from him and leave you in a place where you're open to the attacks of the enemy theres no reason it should be closed.

God lives and breathes kids- he's very serious about being fruitful and multiplying.

I firmly believe that I will have children according to God's will. I have been blessed twice with children, but I have also lost three pregnancy's. I have faith, and I pray to be able to stay strong in His will.

To answer your question, yes! EVERYTHING moves by the power of God whether it's life or death. Do not question what he does and what he does not and for those of you guys who doubt God's power, don't worry, he'll deal with you later.
