start by distributing the number outside the parenthesis. ie:
2(x-3) becomes 2x-6 do that until all your variables are on one side of the equation and the whole numbers on the other side
so....
2(x-3)-3(x+5) becomes 2x-3-3x-15 the -3 multiplied by +5 changes the sign to negative. if you multiply a negative and a positive the negative always takes over. If you multiply a negative with a negative the sign always becomes positive.
so...
the equation will turn out to be
2x-6 - 3x-15 = 3x-6 -7
move the -15 to the right by adding 15 to each side so...
2x-6-3x=3x-13+15
2x-6-3x=3x+2
now add the -6 to each side
2x-6+6-3x=3x+2-6
2x+3x=3x-4
subtract the 3x from each side to get
2x+3x-3x=3x-3x-4
equals
2x=-4
now divide -4 by 2 and you get
x=-2
:) I hope that helps
Remember depending on the order you do certain steps and what not you could have an your final equation looking something like
2x-6x=8 which will still yield x=-2

Rule of thumb MDAS multiply divide add then subtract.
2(x-3)-3(x+5) = 3(x-2)-7
Multiply the numbers into the parentheses.
Remember (+)(-)= (-) and (-)(-)=(+) and (+)(+)=(+)
2x -6 -3x -15 = 3x -6 -7
Skip Division in this problem !
Add and Subtract.
-1x -21 = 3x -13
Isolate the X by transposing. Remember to reverse signs.
-1x -3x = +21 -13
Add and Subtract.
-4x = +8
Divide both sides with -4. To get the value of X
x = -2

Try to follow this
2(x-3)-3(x+5)=3(x-2)-7
Expand the brackets, remember everything outside the bracket, including the sign is mutiplied to the things inside the brackets:
2x-6-3x-15=3x-6-7
2x-3x-6-15=3x-6-7
-x-21=3x-13
Now we add or subtract numbers from both sides.
Remember what you do to one side you must do to the other side. Here goes.
Add x to both sides:
-x-21+x=3x-13+x
-21=4x-13
Add 13 to both sides:
-21+13=4x-13+13
-8=4x
No divide both sides by four:
-8/4=4x/4
-2=x
x=-2
Hope that helps

let's seee....this is from a while ago but i will attempt it. what you need to do is the distributive property to get rid of the parenthesis. to do that you need to multiply the number in front of the paranthesis by both of the numbers inside. so for the first one you're going to multiply 2 by x and by -3, getting
2x - 6
now do the same thing to the next set of parenthesis. you get
-3x-15
and for the third set:
3x-6
now put all of this together:
2x -6 -3x -15 = 3x -6 -7
combine the like terms on each side
2x -3x = -1x (or just -x)
-6 - 15 = -21
therefore on the left side you have
-x -21
now for the right side.
-6 -7 = -13
now put it all together.
-x -21 = 3x -13
now it's a simple algebra problem. you can do it a variety of ways, and i'm going to choose to add the -x on the left side to the 3x on the right side.
now we have -21 = 4x -13
now add the -13 to the -21
then we get -8 = 4x
divide both sides by 4 and voila!!
x = -2
hope this helps

Okay... distribute the 2 first.
You do 2 times x and 2 times -3.
You get : 2x - 6.
Then you distribute the -3.
You do -3 times x and -3 times 5.
You get: -3x - 15
Then you distribute the 3 on the other side of the equation.
You do 3 times x and 3 times -2.
You get: 3x - 6
Then put the rest of the equation there and you get:
3x - 6 - 7
Put it all together.
2x-6-3x-15=3x-6-7
Add like terms.
2x - 3x = -x
-6-15 = -21
-6-7 = - 13
You get: -x - 21 = 3x - 13
Add x to both sides.
-21 = 4x-13
Add 13 to both sides.
-8 = 4x
Divide both sides by 4.
x = -2!!!

2x-6-3x-15=3x-6-7 (parenthesesthing)
-x-21=3x-13 (combined like terms)
-3x+13 (took what was the right side and going to put on the other side)
-4x-8=0
i think that is how you do that and if you want to know what x equals than:
-4x=8 (add the 8 to 0)
x=-2 (divide -4 by 8)
i think that is what you wanted out of this

2x-6-3x-15=3x-6-7
2x-6-3x-15=3x-6-7
2x-3x-6-15=3x-13
-x-21=3x-13
-x-3x=21-13
-4x=8
x= - 2
Check:
2(-2-3) - 3(-2+5) = 3(-2-2) - 7
2(-5) - 3(3) = 3(-4) -7
-10 - 9 = -12 -7
-19 = -19
