It's easy, cat. They get addicted to something else. Maybe they got a new game or an x-box. Maybe they had a baby, or got a job. Yahoo! Answers is great for people who have plenty of time on their hands, but face it, it's not the most challenging, fulfilling fun/job in the world. I'm here because I am ill and can't work. When I get better, I'll have other things to do.

Because there is a lot of smelly garbage on here. And it gets tiresome sifting through the immature, often hateful, communication that is displayed.

I've cut back.

Well, if we had stopped - you wouldn't be getting an answer here! I use control, I set a time limit each day, so I can get other things accomplished, that's all.

In the Religion & Spirituality section, people tend to get "ground in" over the attacks of personal belief systems. I could easily see why someone would just walk away (i've been thinking of it, in fact).

People get tired of the abusive answers they receive. They get tired of being reported for minutiae and being slapped with violation notices over triflings. They move on to somewhere else....Lycos perhaps. Christianforum.com.

I think it is because they no longer trust the site. Too many people are getting on here and asking stupid questions, making quotes that will start an argument or just simply making a statement. This site is for people who need help. Not for people who want to chat. That's what chat rooms are for. Yahoo also has them. Thanks for noticing that this is happening.
