I try finding song meanings, but not really expert answers, just people leaving comments about liking or disliking a song.

Dude, that's one of the purposes of Yahoo! Answers!. ;P Now give us a song to dissect. Also remember, besides marketing (good answer pofdog!) all songs are to be interpruted by the 'listener' not the 'songwriter'. I've written over 5000 songpoems and yes, I could tell you what I was thinking on about 100 of them! LOL! The other 4900 I leave up to the listener because when I'm writing I go into 'writing mode' which is like a dreamstate. The words just come with no forethought and form the song. So being the writer sometimes leaves me as clueless and the listener, only luckily my listeners seem to 'get it' when they listen. Even when I don't. So one song could mean 50 different things to 50 different people and that's what good songwriting is, to an extent. ;P

Why do you think that a bands song has to have some interpersonal meaning? Most times the albums just have what the producers think is a good name that will sell it. AGAIN, why do you spend your time trying to figure out what they mean? You will never find out most because there is NO MEANING besides the marketing value.

Normally I look for an interview with the band on YouTube. Often networks like Fuse will interview a band and that almost always seems to be a question if they have a new album out.
