No it's totally okay.
What you did is you took a bite out of the big corporate industry. That soda sit's there and ferments and if my friends and i want to endulge in a little "FREE" soda who are they to say no. Is their names written on the machine??? No it says coke or pepsi so your stealing from them and since they don't have anyone there to make sure people don't steal then it's okay for you do drink the free liquids
I have some more free liquids for you if you want.

He threatened your lives over a cup of soda? He's the one with the bigger problem. Many people choose to do this. Some do it just because they can and others because they can't afford the soda. Either way, it's wrong and depending on each person's conscience they'll deal with it in the end. Even the people who it doesn't bother mentally will end up paying for it one way or another. I wouldn't do it but I also wouldn't worry too much about it. Just don't do it again.

It's petty more than it's wrong. I mean, how much do they charge for a small soda? Like $1, and you can stuff yourself for under $5 with a drink.
He threatened your lives? If that happens, you should call 1-800-TACO-BELL
Let them know that you made a mistake and you are concerned for your life now that the manager has threatened you. You can also let them know you are afraid to eat there now for fear of poisoning.

Ya its considered stealing... I think what you were doing was just abusing the loophole. Instead of buying a cup and filling your drink from the cup you bought you instead got a cup of water for free and filled it with soda.
Some people these days abuse the loopholes. Like going to the movies buying tickets for your friends and swapping tickets so that you can go to customer service and get your money back and go back to watching the movie you paid for.
These loopholes makes everyone who abuses it scam artists. Heck, there are sites that give people loopholes so they can abuse it.
The only thing with this is that it hurts the community and the economy.
P.S. The manager should of expelled you and your friends.

yes, it is stealing and I am sure that the manager has caught many others doing that and it cost the resturant money to sell it and in order to make a profit he has to sell at a higher cost and by what you and others did will make the prices go up. If you don't have the money to get the Soda then don't go there. I am sure that you would not want anyone stealing from you.

ok its not right to do that cause it is technically stealing but it doesnt hurt the company much cause soda doesnt cost that much. BUT it also isnt right for the manager to threaten your lives. He should realize that could turn into a lawsuit. But its not right. Instead, next time, just buy the soda and than stick your head under the faucet lmao

Yup you stole. It is irritating and the manager must have been having a bad day. The truth is you are costing everyone else because where soda is not as expensive as they sell it for the cost of doing business is put into all the food. So to keep the lights on etc. you pay more for all that you get.
SO you stole from them and from us.
Nice

stealing soda is wrong, but so was him threatening your lives!
but for the record-it doesn't even cost taco bell more than 25 cents for what they charge close to $2.00 for a soda.
i think taco bell has a 1-800 number to call when you have a bad experience. lol

That is stealing, they don't charge you for water.
Many have said the soda didn't cost that much, well it's not only you who does this but several other have admitted it too. It probably winds up costing the company thousands over time. If you owned a business would you want someone stealing from you?
