For a day now i have been having this reddish/brownish discharge. At first i thought it was my mucus plug since it was that color but, is it supposed to be kind of watery and should it continue for this long?
Then i wondered if my water broke too, but i thought i should've had more of it coming at once. This discharge seems to get less then suddenly come out a lot.
The discharge is reddish kind of watery and kind of clear. what should i do?

Go to the ER, that sounds like your water broke, this happened to me also, but it was just a leak, not a big "gush" like I expected. It is important that you get to the ER or see your doctor right away, once your water breaks it's easier to get an infection. Sounds like you've got a baby on the way! Congratulations!

You should first off definately call your doctor and let them know. Some women lose their mucus plug over the course of a few days. Some women when their water breaks do not know it has because it is a slow trickle for a day or so as well. It would be best to just have the doctor check you out and let them see what is going on. Good luck

I lost my mucus plug 2 weeks before my water broke, my mucus plug was brown tinted and like a big glob. My daughter was so low that i didnt know when my water broke because i had the same type of drizzle and when i went into my dr's office he pushed my daughters head up a little and all the water and a little blood came out. Get to your doctors!!

That's your water! How long as this been going on? And how far along are you?

You need to get to the hospital- you risk infection to yourself and the baby going on with broken waters!

Get to the hospital.

Okay you need to not listen to these people, My water broke two days before my son was born, and it was just a trickle, which was heavier from time to time, like when you stand or climb stairs. With blood streaks in it thats called bloody show.

What youre describing is broken water. It does NOT gush for every women, and you dont always know thats what it is.

Holyshit these people are retarded.

Atleast go have a strip test done to know if its water or discharge.

hi I lost my Mucus plug the morning I went into hard artwork with my son - It appears like a blob of jelly which could now and returned be extremely bloody yet no longer something significant. while you're worried i might ring your maternity ward (quantity shouls be on your notes) 35 weeks is slightly quickly to be loosing your mucus plug so i might think of it is in simple terms discharge yet they might elect ot examine you?

get to your midwife or doctor or even a hospital, better to be safe than sorry this is not your mucus plug that is a clear, jelly blood tinged and it only happens once.

Anything that is bloody or brown in pregnancy should be checked out.
it could be serious like pre-eclampsier
Hope it is ok and good luck

Go to the hospital, if this is your waters there shouldn't be red color in it, mucus plug are a jelly substance and not watery, if your waters have broken and are far on in your pregnancy they will induce you, if not you will have to be careful throughout your pregnancy for infection!

Why didn't you call your doctor. Call them now, instead of being on the computer waiting for answers only the doctor can give you the RIGHT one.
