Beckett's lists the 1951 Bowman Mantle at $5,000 on the low end and $8,000 on the high end. Back on April 27th, 2007, a Gem Mint card sold for $160,000 at a suburban Chicago auction.

A 1951 Bowman, graded a 10 by a reputable company, would go for tens of thousands, perhaps six figures.

A 1952 Topps is not Mantle's rookie card, though it is a common mistake to call it one.
