My very first car was a 79 Fiat X1/9. My dad traded Freon he had stole from his job for it. (Sad but true) It was always breaking down. I wound up buying a Ford Focus for $300. I drove that car until some drunk totaled it in the street. My mom followed him to his house. I got $900 for it. Then I bought and 82 or 87 chevy nova.. I forget the year. Looked like a toyota corolla. I had a job as a bus boy at 14. They fired me when they found out how old I was. I did odd jobs for a year. Then at 16 got a job at a grocery store.

I was working at 16 and bought a co-workers 1967 Dodge Coronet, in a charming buffalo dung brown. It cost $400 in 1971, and had an 8 track player with 12 " TV speakers in the rear window that sounded purely awful...terrible. But, it was mine.

Dad bought me one when I was 15 and I never drove it. I didn't start driving till I was 26 or 27 and he finally just sold the car.

When I graduated (HS) my parents bought my car for me (93' Toyota Celica) for only $600 from a marine who was PCSing from Okinawa. but I had to pay my parents back when I saved enough $ from my part time job and yes I pay for the insurance and gas and everything ：（

The 1st car I drove regularly was one of my dad's. He bought cars and fixed them up all the time so it was one of his projects. The 1st car I owned I bought from my aunt. After I messed it up, she bought it back for the same price I bought it for so my uncle could fix it for his grandson.
