I also skied for many years and liked it, but I always hated the snow conditions which made it hard to turn on skiis and the different skiing techniques needed for different conditions (power, spring conditions, etc)
Snowboarding is more fun for me because the board floats over the snow and is more consistent in conditions that I hated on skiis like power and wet snow. Snowboarding in powder is really unbeliveable - it is like surfing in snow!

I absolutely LOVE snowboarding. I learned at a much older age than most (38) so it was really hard for me to learn, but I'm so glad I stuck it out and finally got it. It is great exercise and very fun. I taught my nieces how to snowboard too so they go up with me 2-3 days a week. I go 3-4 days a week during the season so it is a big part of my life. If I was wealthy and didn't have to work I would snowboard all over the world.

Okay, I started skiing way back in 1970 and skied constantly, competitively, and professionally (Ski Patrol, Squaw Valley) until 1989. I remember when snowboards arrived on the slopes, and the resistance to letting them onto the mountain.
I've tried it TWICE, and at my age I'm just more comfortable on TWO skinny boards rather than one wide one.

dude, snowboarding is a gift from god. i luv it. ive been in the snow for about 7 yrs (im young) and have been snowboarding for 4. the other 3 i skied. its awesome. answer my question about the rossignol mini!!!!!!

snowboarding is LITERALLY the best invention in the whole world...im going boarding in france for 5 months in december..is anyone else? oh wait i can actually make that into a question cant i..

i don't like snowboarding..........I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i've only rode for one season.....but it's so addicting!
