Or is everyone equal?

No. People can be elevated above each other in society's eyes, but inside, we're all the same. The rich and powerful have the same flaws, the same insecurities, and the same desires as the rest of us. No matter how god-like and important celebrities, corporate executives, and political figures may seem, they are just human.

Everyone is not equal, yet no one is more important than anyone else. Typically the ones that appear to be more important are they who serve and help those who don't appear to be as important. So I wouldn't say that the servant and the one being served are equal, but they are both equally important. Understand what I'm saying?

It depends really on the position of the person. But everyone is equal in a way.(one of which is all of us being human beings.)
But yes some people are more important, but that doesn't give them the right to mock people lower than them.

Yes, depending on the situation and usually for a temporary period of time:

Example:
A surgeon is more important DURING AN OPERATION than the hospital janitor. But when the surgery is over, the janitor becomes the more important person DURING THE CLEANUP of the room.

Also, if that surgeion's car has a flat tire, he is less important than the person who fixes his flat tire.

"Importance" is a transitory trait.

Yup, everyone is equal.
The only reason that people seem to think that others are more important is because the people that look more important radiate confidence.

On a personal level, everyone has someone or several people who mean more to them than anyone else. Equality and emotions don't combine.

some people have to be more important. It's all depending on how you see it... I'm sure your brother or your girlfriend is more important to you than a bum... In other cases, people like Albert Einstein who made tremendous breakthroughs in science are more important than somebody like say Carrot Top. People like Ghandi and MLK Jr. are WAY more important than say even somebody that people actually like, like T.I. That's how I feel on this... Maybe others feel different. Either way, it's still a human life and is always going to be important. People have priorities though.
