Is it the fear of death?
Renewal is good and hence new life or never would be preferable.

I think to be immortal would be a very lonely existence. People would continue going in and out of your life forever. Everyone around you would grow old but you. Your children and loved ones would grow old and die before you and no one would be left. You would have to continue to make new friends only to have them die before you too. What would your existence be worth at this point? The only good point of being immortal would be the wisdom that you would gain. I would not want to be immortal because I would never be able to find out what lies beyond death.

I don't think a person can imagine the kind of life immortality brings. It is there already, but because of our own ignorance and lack of light, we don't know it.

Just live now I can't think of anything more boring and depressing as being imortal! When everything and everyone else is gone there would be just you left.

That's a nice thought, through an immortal body I can do anything that I ever wanted to do. But then again, what's the excitement in that. I think I am just fine the way I am.

To be immortal may produce some problems that you may not think about.
What are you going to do in a thousand,a billion or a quadrillion years from now.
No doubt you would want to end it eventually.

Just live as a mortal. The disadvantage of being an immortal is because you will just experience the death of your love ones one by one, every person you will meet will just come and go..

I would hate to be immortal...I'm having enough trouble getting through one life!

If not ... I think I would want to die, to see what I was missing out on.

everybody is immortal (rem. for a long time). but i like my life as it is now. i would like to add some lottery bucks to it to make it alot happier tho.
