I was parked on a cobbled section beside an entrance. I took photos that clearly show the curb behind my car so I was not on the footpath. I was not blocking the entrance. I was about 6ft from the road beside a wall. I have taken photos including one of another car which i about the same distance away from the road blocking an entrance and he did not recieve a ticket.

Have a got a case to appeal?

What a lot of people don't realise is that parking restrictions, yellow lines, double yellows, zig-zags and loading bans, are in force from the building line, therefore they include the footpath.
Unless the cobbled area is private land, the ticket was issued correctly.

for 'parked on a restricted street during prescribed hours' you must have been parked on a street that had single yellow lines with a timeplate, double yellow lines, or a no waiting sign at all major entrances to the street

Was there any signs up to say the area was designated as a no parking area?
By what you have said and taken at face value I think you have a very strong case to lodge an appeal.

Did you check the area for other signs indicating restricted parking? You may have a case - I'd try the Citizen's Advice Bureau as a first port of call.

You can always plead not-guilty and have your day in court. That's your right! Present your case & your evidence to the judge and hope for the best.
