im going to goa india on friday. just wandering what currency would be best to take dollars sterling or rupees. thanks

US dollars are depreciating against Indian rupees. So go for Euros! Best exchange rate can be gotten inside India, I would suggest that.

you cant buy rupees outside India, and you are not allowed to bring them out of the country either. We are going next month and will take sterling

if you can take rupee, it is much better as there is no hassle of getting the money changed. however, if you are taking foreign currency you can take sterling or dollars.

don't take dollars cuz at the moment they r week and most major hotels in India stopped taking dollars cuz of their fall rate...so take rupees for u won't have to find a place to convert ur money

ONLY INDIANS THEM SELVES CAN TAKE RUPEES. NOT ALLOWED TO BRING INTO INDIA. IF YOUR FROM OVERSEAS. BEST BET IS TRAVELLERS CHEQUES IF YOUR NOT FROM INDIA. OR ATM WORKS FOR ME. OR YOUR OWN CURRENCY, WHICH IF STOLEN. YOU HAVE NO INSURANCE COVER FOR
