Christmas 2002. It was the last Christmas at my home in the USA and it was the last Christmas my whole family was together. Everything was beautifully decorated and the house was filled with love and the smells of great food. There was laughter and loads of gifts. My first husband and I didn't know we'd end up divorced; my mother-in-law didn't know she'd be dead in six months; my mother still had her mind and didn't know Alzheimer's would devistate her world within 12 months; my two step-daughters still loved me and didn't know they'd choose to end our relationship for reasons I still don't understand; I was still "Nana" to their children. And, I didn't know I'd end up living 6,000 miles from everything and everyone I knew.
It was a perfect day. By the way, it's also my saddest Christmas memory because life since then has been nothing but hard and Christmas' without joy or sparkle. Now it is just another day to get through.

while i replace into youthful we used to stay at my Grandparents we had 9 human beings residing there yet each Christmas my Grandmother might discover somebody who replace into on my own at Christmas an invitation them for Christmas dinner i think of that's what Christmas could be all approximately. I surely have accomplished that many situations and it provides me a solid Christmas feeling to try this for lonely human beings. This 365 days we are going to help serve Christmas dinner for people who're on my own or homeless at a close by church on Christmas day. Merry Christmas to each and all the lonely human beings.

As a child, it was always my brother waking me up before the sun came up, going into the living room, my brother turning the tree lights on and then waiting for our parents to awaken.
That was always the most magical part of Christmas morning.

It was the year I got my big pink desk and chair. I couldn't understand how Santa got it down the chimney. I had it until I was 17 (it was that big) and we moved into a much smaller place and it couldn't come. I was very upset. I loved that desk.

When my own children were toddlers....and believed in Santa....and their eyes on Christmas morning when they saw their presents....it is still the best feeling in the world.
