I know you have to have the company of an adult when you go see an R movie or rent an R movie but can you be any age to buy one?

you have to be 17. when you are 16 you get to drive. when you are 17 get to see rated r movies. when you are 18 you get to vote.

Well they say 17 and I have been buying them since I was like 13. I am 18 now but I look 12. I never have been carded.

To see an R rated movie in theaters, you have to be 17, and show ID. To buy one, you have to be 17, and show ID.

In this state, NC 18, I think.
When I buy an R rated, it always stop me at the register for date of birth.

I think thirteen above adults just wants you to pick the right one .
like if you choose a gross yucky extremely Rated R movie
you will be corrupted you can choose things like that when your
17 above

last year when my friends and i went to Walmart to buy a "r" movie we were carded b-cause u have to be at least 17.

at wal-mart 18 (or whatever the theater age restriction is)
elsewhere, probably no problem buying it
