Well, you've one of the first bases covered in that you display good grammar and spelling, which is the first thing that annoys many people to point of homicidal rage. (Well, maybe not that far. However, sometimes close.) Secondly, don't ask a question in the wrong group. That can tend to put some people off. Avoiding stupid questions is another good rule of thumb. Lastly, if you have strong opinions on things, firstly give yourself some credit for being a rational thinking human being, and secondly be prepared for the fact that there are idiots out there that will be offended by them.

You ask questions and put them in the relevant categories- this one, for example, attracts a lot of humourous questions, and Relgion and Spirituality attracts a lot of people with extreme opinions on such matters.
You can also answer questions in these categories, but can be reported if you're offensive or what you post is irrelevant, so stay on topic. Many people do this, post nonsense questions or put questions in the wrong category, bu accident or design.
If you ask a question, you can pick a best answer after 4 hours, and the answerer gets 10 points (you get two for answering and lose 5 for asking a question).
Hope this helps a little- you'll pick it up!

Hello, Alfred. My advice to you: Feel welcomed; enjoy the wonderful humour in responses made by so many people who are so funny; and get more of your friends to use this service of Yahoo so you can share new ideas or discuss some interesting "takes" on issues that you never thought of.
And, yes, it certainly can get addictive!

I wish you all the best too!
I found that a lot of what you do on here is trial and error. You can google just about anything for help or ask more specific questions on yahoo answers for help. there are quite a few computer whizzes here that have helped me.
Welcome! Have a great time!

Alfred, it's never to late to start new things in life. All of this may seem overwhelming at first but after a while you'll feel more confident and find wonderful doors opening up all the time. Welcome to the age of electronics.

Basically, go on 'ask' and chose from the list of categories the one which might interest you to look at the questions available and then look through the list available. Click on the one you want to look at and click on 'answer this question' to answer it. Then, go on 'My profile' and see if you were given a 'best answer'

Keep an open mind about what you read here, not everyone is serious, or helpful, and unfortunately some people can be quite nasty. The majority of people are nice though, and will do what they can to help.

The best advice I can give anyone is 'never take a tattoo gun to a drinking session'. The bumblebee on the end of my nose is proof of that.
