She is playing with beckham in a soccer match. She scores a goal.
Then her mom is with the comentators on tv and tells her to stop showing her bare legs and get home right now.

The mother wanted to teach the daughter (the main character) how to cook traditional Indian food so she would know how to when she got married. Her older sister was totally into getting married albeit not a traditionally "good Indian girl." The main character's friend's mother is worried her daughter is a lesbian. All the girls really want to do is play soccer (aka "football"). It was a sappy movie.
