multiplication. remember how you subtracted Y on both sides so one would be 0 and the other would be in ax+by+c=0 format? well, you can add, multiply, other things to arrange the equation ho you want it.

the key word is LCD.

the LCD of the fractions is 6, so times everything by 6

6( 1/3x + y -1/2 = 0)
6/3x +6y -6/2 =6*0
2x +6y -3 =0

times the thing by 6

6/3X + 6y - 6/2 = 0

thats

2X + 6Y - 3 = 0

Multiply the entire equation by the lowest common denominator of the constants. You should have 2x + 6y - 3 = 0.
