But after constant pursuation of Postal higher authorities I was paid back the ammount of Rs. 3000/-. But I was not paid my MO charges of Rs.150 + speed post charges Rs.12 and my other expences to constently contacting my daughter over mobile phone, penal intrest and charges for spending many man hours and all hastles I had faced. Kindly advise how to go about and to get compensated and what shall be the ammount that I should claim?

I fully agree with the harassment you faced during this whole episode of sending Speed Postal Money Order from Delhi & spent lot of money in getting the refund, etc. Now the position is that no doubt you can approach the Consumer forum in Delhi district from where you had sent this postal money order & claim the damages etc, but the time this complaint in this forum will take any thing from two to three years to decide in your favor. The time you will spend on each date of hearing will be another headache for you. The maximum amount you can expect in such a case will not be more then the Money Order amount which you have been already refunded, but since the harassment you have faced cannot get you more then this amount in any case. This amount too I have told here may look very small to you but I reserve my comments about the actual amount that you may get. The number of complaints filed daily in the consumer forums have exceeded beyond the number of cases pending in other civil cases; hence the time consumed in their disposal takes a long time. In case you don't want to enter into this litigation, then just make a formal complaint against the post master & his staff form where you made this postal M.O. to the Post Master General Delhi area for taking departmental inquiry against such deficiency of service & negligence by his subordinate & necessary action against them & even claim the necessary damages from the postal department directly.

Justice can only be delivered with a strong commitment. You must continue to expose the miscreants and bring them to the attention of the journalists - perhaps these can be reported anonymously, but be verifiable by the newspaper etc.

Wish you success. Also find alternate and more reliable ways.
